It’s a WWE Superstar Slaughter as te WWE continues to trim its roster. Today WWE.com announced the releases of six WWE Superstars today
WWE has come to terms on the releases of Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Murphy, Ruby Riott and Santana Garrett.
WWE wishes them the best in all of their future endeavors
The news is shocking as Braun Strowman is a main event player who recently competed in a Triple Threat Match against WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and former champion Drew McIntyre. While Aleister Black had been off WWE TV for some time, the company began running a series of vignettes promoting his return, culminating in his return on the May 21, 2021 episode of SmackDown where he laid out Big E during a Fatal Four-Way for the Intercontinental Championship.
Murphy has been off WWE TV as well, following his short-lived storyline romance with 19-year-old Aalyah Mysterio. Lana, who is married to current AEW star Miro (and former WWE Superstar Rusev) has been buried on WWE TV ever since the WWE released her husband. Ruby Riott is a surprise since she is one-half of the team The Riott Squad with Liv Morgan. Santana Garrett’s name has been thrown about whenever fans and pundits have speculated on potential releases.

The WWE’s ongoing trimming of its payroll has led to speculation the WWE could be preparing itself to be put up for sale as it trims the fat in order to show a robust cash value. What do you think of the WWE’s latest releases and where do you think these wrestlers will end up?
