Fresh off a complete clown show attempt of an NFL workout (regardless of what your opinion is on the situation), speculation could once again build towards the possbility of Colin Kaepernick playing in the XFL.

The XFL season begins on February 8th, 2020 – at the moment, it continues to look like no NFL team will sign the 32-year-old unrestricted free agent.

In February of this year, a report surfaced via Sporting News that Kaepernick wanted $20 million to play for the XFL.

A source close to the situation told me the number Kaepernick requested was actually $15 million. However, that number is still infinitely higher than what a high end XFL player will make.

It’s hard to argue that Kaepernick wouldn’t immediately be the top quarterback in the league, if the deal were to happen. Ultimately, Kaepernick would likely have to take a lot less money to play in the XFL, and for that reason, I don’t foresee that happening.

Your move, Vince.
