Why One Expert Gives The Chicago Bears An A+ Grade For Their Draft

Written by BadBoiCiCi

I’m an expert at giving grades after the draft. I usually give the Chicago Bears around a C or B-, but this year I give them an A+. I have been commissioned by your mom to judge Chicago’s draft for all of you. With research and recency bias here it is.

DB| Kyler Gordon: A+ (Round 2, Pick 39) Washington

Good pick, Poles, get used to me saying that.

DB| Jaquan Brisker: A+ (Round 2, Pick 48) Penn State

Good pick, Poles. Way to sure up our rear end on defense. He wants coverage sacks and an impenetrable back end.

WR| Velus Jones JR.: A+ (Round 3, Pick 71) Tennessee

It’s a pick, Poles. He’s 25, lots of life experience. He’s very fast, and ages faster. Can’t wait to maximize the three years his hamstrings have left.

OT| Braxton Jones: (Round 5, Pick 168) Southern Utah

Good pick, Poles. He’s a very big boy standing at six-foot, five-inches and 310 pounds. The Bears now have a lot of young depth on the offensive line that they are hoping turn into long term starters. I wish Sandra Bullock could come around Bears camp and give the “Ferdinand The Bull” speech to our offensive line.

The rest of the draft picks, which the Bears had 11 of, were all just hole fillers. I am very happy with what Ryan Poles accomplished, which was just to add depth at various positions. If I’m a Chicago Bears fan, which I am, I’m very happy with the direction of the Bears. Dat way.
