The New York Yankees have been a subject of controversy recently regarding deciding to intentionally walk Miguel Cabrera, who now-was in pursuit of the 3,000-hit milestone.
However today, it’s their fanbase that are making headlines—all for the wrong reasons.
During their matinee game against the Cleveland Guardians, their fans out at right field were caught on live broadcast throwing trash at the Guardians outfielders as the team was celebrating a walk-off hit by New York’s Gleyber Torres.
You can see in one of the above clips that Guardians outfielders Myles Straw and Oscar Mercado were screaming back at the fans that were throwing those objects.
However, that wasn’t the only bad thing Yankees fans have done at the end. One of the fans was giving Straw the ‘pussy’ hand gesture towards him as he was yelling back.
Typical New York Yankees fans being classless as usual. It’s nice that your team won, but it’s pretty bad that you have to throw trash the opposing team.
Just our two cents.
