Watch: Pit Road Incident Draws Red Flag, Tire Changer Injured.

I have Watched racing actively since 2004. I had thought I had seen it all, from tires flying into campgrounds to the worst, seeing the crash that took Dan Wheldon’s life. Watching today’s brickyard 400 brought presented a new concept for me, cars running into pit crew members working on a car.

The pit road at Indianapolis is only 24 feet wide, it is one of the narrowest pit roads on the cup series. Watch below:

Justin Allgaier was on the radio, immediately to see if the injured crewman was okay and was immediately apologetic. He was smacked from behind. Here is the pit road exit view:

Zach Price is the injured crewman on the 12. His adrenal glad is going overtime after surviving the accident. He is great spirits for having his leg mangled.
