Watch: High Speed Chase In U.P Of Michigan (Baraga)

Written by TrevStone

We have recently learned that a high speed chase happened in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in Baraga County on Thursday night. Baraga is right across the bay from the Pro Sports Extra office which is located in L’Anse and seeing we’ve been hearing about this over the last hour I figured that we would do a quick post about this.

We have learned that the driver has been put into custody. Thankfully it doesn’t sound like anyone was hurt during this. My aunt was nearly side swiped by the driver, thankfully she wasn’t and is safe.

She posted the following:

“Went to the casino with my mother in law and won. Whoop whoop. But the biggest win is that we didn’t get injured or killed by the asshole that was trying to outrun the cops. He came so close to me that if I hadn’t just pulled over there wouldn’t been a good chance I wouldn’t hit him as he cut in front of me before Marathon. I have to say thank you to the young man from Baraga Fire Department who stopped and asked if we were ok. I also have to say thanks to all the responding officers as they knew when to back off when the guy went flying back onto the highway. So thankful no one got hurt as there was lots of traffic.” – Amy Stein

A video posted online by Paul Lister Jacobson shows some of the footage.

We are not sure about anything that happened leading up to this event. Although talk about something that doesn’t happen often around here happening.
