Pretty embarrassing moment early in the 2022 season for one Washington Nationals player early Thursday night.
In the fourth inning versus the Pittsburgh Pirates, Nationals outfielder Alcodes Escobar gotten an unexpected cup check after an errant pickoff throw to first base by Pirates pitcher JT Brubaker.

Let’s say Escobar was ‘pretty ballsy’ for walking away and shaking off that shot from Brubaker, but it certainly looked painful from the views we got.
Even with that incident, his team in Nationals are losing to the Pirates 5-4, in Pittsburgh.
