A viral incident/assault after a youth wrestling match took place recently in Des Plaines, Illinois, a suburb north of Chicago.
On Twitter, Marine West High School wrestler, Hafid Alicea, was caught on video throwing a punch after losing a third-place match to Cooper Corder of SPAR Wrestling Academy out of Aurora, Illinois.
Down below are two clips by user Talen Guzman of the viral punch: one with the punch itself and one with the full match.
This came after Corder dominated Alicea in their match, 14-2. You can see in the clip that Hafid faked his handshake with Carson before punching in the face, breaking his nose.
Guzman added in his second tweet that the Oak Park Police Department were allegedly involved and are investigating the assault.
While no arrest has been made, Alicea is currently facing calls to be banned from future matches, per an article by the Sun.
