You probably can’t tell in the circled feature in our headline picture that it happened, but it really did.

Earlier today, there was news circulating about a video shot back in late June on the Straits of Mackinac that a little personal plane had flown underneath the Mackinac Bridge as many drivers were crossing it.

In a tweet by Luke Stier of WOODTV of Grand Rapids, it shows the plane flying over the boater who shot the video and if you look very closely, goes under the bridge itself.

As mentioned in the above tweet, the U.S. Coast Guard and the Michigan State Police are currently looking to see who the pilot was.

Police have called the plane incident, ‘reckless.’

“This was extremely reckless behavior on the part of the pilot, and it imperiled the safety of everyone on the bridge that day,” Michigan State Police Detective Sgt. Gary Demers said in the news release. “We hope that someone can come forward with information to help us make sure it doesn’t happen again.”

The authorities are seeking public assistance from photos, videos, and other information.

Anyone with any type of information listed regarding the plane and its pilot, are asked to call the police at 906-643-7582.
