Washington Redskin tight end Vernon Davis has surprisingly announced his retirement from the NFL with a pregame commercial ahead of the Super Bowl called, “The Golden Gronks”
Davis is arguably one of the greatest tight ends the NFL has ever seen, he’s sixth on the all-time list for touchdown for tight ends with 63, and ninth on the reception list with 583 recorded catches. Built like a truck and with wide receiver like speed he was always a dangerous weapon on the field even in his last year with the Redskins.
Vernon Davis spent 14 years in the NFL with three different teams; 49ers, Broncos, and lastly the Redskins. In 2015 he won a Super Bowl with the Broncos. This commercial also seems as though Davis might want to be an actor in his future? Whatever he does congrats on a Hall of Fame worthy career Vernon!
