USC QB Caleb Williams Has Heisman Trophy Worthy Performance in Win Over UCLA

Written by Tony Ghaul

In a win over UCLA that clinched a berth in the Pac-12 title game for USC, QB Caleb Williams turned in a dominant performance. His performance puts him among the favorites for the Heisman Trophy.

Williams accounted for a series-record 502 yards of offense, completing 32 of 43 passes for 470 yards with two touchdowns and one interception while rushing for another 32 yards and a score on eight carries. He accounted for three or more touchdowns in each of the Trojans’ last five games. He faces a Big Test against a Notre Dame defense, as the Fighting Irish come to Los Angeles for the regular season finale.

There are two clear leaders in the Heisman Trophy chase: C.J. Stroud of Ohio State and Caleb Williams of USC. Both Stroud and Williams have their big rivalry games this week.
