Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had a brutal game last Sunday against the Buffalo Bills with his ‘back injury’ diagnosis, but what happened tonight on Thursday Night Football against the Cincinnati Bengals may have proven he had a more serious injury.

In the second quarter after he took a sack from the Bengals defense, Tagovailoa was seen lying on ground with his fingers bent back in different directions.

As a result of the brutal hit and injuries, Tua was reported later put onto a stabilizing table while taken off the field by a stretcher. Via Ari Meirov of Pro Football Focus aka MySportsUpdate and the Dolphins team account on Twitter, he is listed as out for the rest of the game (and maybe the season) with head and neck injuries.

However, the good news is that Tagovailoa has been listed as conscious at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and has movement in all of his extremities.

A very frightening scene that happened in Cincinnati tonight and thank goodness he is going to be okay. But honestly, Tua should not even be playing tonight.

After what happened in his last game against the Buffalo Bills, Tagovailoa probably did not suffer a back injury as originally reported. Most likely an injury to his head or neck that only gotten worse after that sack tonight.

Just a complete mess surrounding the Dolphins training staff, and as a result, Tua might never play in the NFL again. Hope there will be an investigation on the way because it should have never came down to this.
