Monday Night Football commentator Troy Aikman is facing criticism after making a controversial comment during the Chiefs vs. Raiders matchup.
With less than two minutes left in the second quarter, Kansas City DT Chris Jones sacked Las Vegas QB Derek Carr on third-and-8 and drew a roughing the passer flag. The play appeared to be a normal hit on Raiders QB Derek Carr that resulted in a fumble and recovery. The penalty extended a Raiders drive that was capped by a field goal and extended the team’s lead to 20–7.

In response to the perplexing flag, Troy Aikman expressed his displeasure with the roughing the passer penalty. “It’s too much,” he said on the points of emphasis to protect NFL quarterbacks. Aikman then said,“My hope is that the competition committee looks at this in the next set of meetings and you know, we take the dresses off.”
The Pro Football Hall of Famer who won three Super Bowls played for the Cowboys from 1989 to 2000. It’s believed that he suffered about seven concussions during his career.
The NFL and NFLPA revised the concussion protocols before Week 5’s slate of games kicked off after Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa suffered a scary head injury against the Cincinnati Bengals.
