Trea Turner wants to play for the Phillies

Written by Tony Ghaul

The Philadelphia Phillies are in the market for a middle infielder this off-season and it appears that one of free agents in baseball wants to come here.

Per Jayson Stark: There’s rumblings that Trea Turner wants to be in Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia Phillies would benefit from a shortstop addition. Their offense is loaded but they have question marks defensively.

Trea Turner would be a great acquisition for the Phillies. He is a a solid fielding shortstop with elite speed. Turner and Phillies star Bryce Harper played together in Washington with the Nationals. Bryson Stott, who impressed in his rookie season, would shift from his natural position of shortstop to second base on a full-time basis.

Turner, 29, hit .298 with 21 home runs, 100 RBIs, 27 stolen bases and an .809 OPS in 2022, his first full season as a Dodger.
