Trea Turner Shows Gratitude For Phillies Fans Support

Written by Tony Ghaul

Philadelphia Phillies fans gave massive support to slumping shortstop Trea Turner during this weekend’s homestead amid the roughest season of the star’s career.

For many years Philadelphia sports have gotten the raw deal from the national media for being tough on their coaches and players, thus the reputation for this being a tough place to play in.

Philadelphia fans have always been ultra supportive and have shown a lot of patience with a star player, who is struggling, as long they give effort, show humility and and show that they care.

This weekend the Phillies gave Trea Turner huge support. It seemed to work as Turner had hits and good at bats in all three games.

On Saturday night, Turner blasted a go-ahead three-run home run against the Kansas City Royals. The fans have him a standing ovation and he came out of the dugout for a curtain call.

On Sunday, Turner returned the gesture to Phillies fans, renting a billboard that says “Thank you Philly” on it with a picture of him.

Hopefully, this helps Turner to turn things around offensively and return to his effectiveness as a top major league hitter.

Trea Turner is a classy guy and the Philadelphia showed their class with their massive support of a struggling high priced player.
