Nationally reowned cival rights and person injury attorney who represented Trayvon Martin, Ben Crump, has been retained by the family of Geroge Floyd, a man who died in the custody of the Minneapolis Police Department on May 25 when he was pinned to the ground by his neck.
Floyd was stopped for a non-violent forgery charge when police detained and killed him.
This is what Crump also added:
“We all watched the hoffic death of George Floyd on video as witnesses begged the police officer to take him into the police car and get off his neck. This abusive, excessive and imhumane use of force cost the life of a man who was being detained by the police for questioning about a non-violent charge.”
“We will seek justice for the family of George Floyd, as we demand answers from the Minnesota Police Department. How many ‘while black’ deaths will it take until the racial profiling and undervaluing of black lives by police finally ends?”
