Tom Lister Passes Away

Actor Tom Lister Jr., who starred as Deebo in the movie Friday and also had roles in films such as The Dark Knight and Fifth Element, has passed away at 62, per TMZ.

Lister is also well known for his role in the medium of Pro Wrestling, after starring in a movie with Terry Bollea (Hulk Hogan in wrestling) called No Holds Barred. Following this, he would align himself on WWF television with “The Macho King” Randy Savage and Queen Sherri Martel. He teamed with Savage to face Hall of Famer’s Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake at Summerslam 1989. He also teamed with Ted DiBiase and the Powers of Pain against Hulk Hogan, Demolition and Jake Roberts at that years’ Survivor Series. He did a small stint in WWC and WCW in the ’90s.

Some of his other acting credits include Jackie Brown, Little Nicky, Zootopia, Beverly Hills Cop II and Austin Powers in Goldmember. The cause of death is currently unknown. PSE is saddened to hear of the loss.
