Tom Brady Cheating Scandal Emerges After Coming Out Of Retirement @tombrady

Written by Chris Powers

At the end of the 2022 season, Tom Brady officially announced his retirement from the NFL after a long career with a combined 7 Super Bowl victories with both the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Seemingly nowhere out of today, Brady announced that he has unfinished business on the field. See his tweet below.

Because of Brady’s name trending like wildfire after the announcement that he was returning, out of nowhere old articles mentioning Brady’s name being linked to the Deflategate controversy also started showing up all over social media. While Deflategate is nothing new, the mere fact that Brady was xmcoming out of retirement seemingly brought out all of his haters.

The Deflategate controversy is now eight years old and it still bothers many NFL fans. Brady was suspended without pay for four games of the upcoming season for his involvement, based on “substantial and credible evidence” that he knew Patriots employees were deflating footballs and that he failed to cooperate with investigators.

The NFL even requested that Brady turn over his cell phone so it could review electronic transmission. This was the statement that the NFL gave at the time:

“On or shortly before March 6, the day that Tom Brady met with independent investigator Ted Wells and his colleagues, Brady directed that the cell phone he had used for the prior four months be destroyed. He did so even though he was aware that the investigators had requested access to text messages and other electronic information that had been stored on that phone. During the four months that the cell phone was in use, Brady had exchanged nearly 10,000 text messages, none of which can now be retrieved from that device. The destruction of the cell phone was not disclosed until June 18, almost four months after the investigators had first sought electronic information from Brady.”

So here we are 8 years later, and Brady has 7 Super Bowl rings. One has to wonder why the guy has not been suspended indefinitely by the league. He comes across as a notorious cheater and even played for an organization that cheated through the team’s history, the New England Patriots. Between Spygate, Deflategate, and of course the notorious Snow Plow game, the organization consistently breaks the rules to get ahead

It seems that Brady has been forgiven for all of his past transgressions, but if he does ever get inducted to the NFL Hall of Fame it should come with an asterisk next to his name.
