TJ Hockenson Is The Future Of The NFL; Can Jared Goff Get Detroit Over The Hump?

Written by TrevStone

Detroit Lions tight end TJ Hockenson is the future of the NFL. You might be thinking I’m nuts by typing this but in reality I’m not.

TJ Hockenson had an outstanding season last year with Matthew Stafford at quarterback and with new QB Jared Goff who has proven before he likes getting the ball too tight ends, I see the two of them putting up big numbers.

Hockenson was a pro bowler last year in only his second season. He finished with 723 yards and six touchdowns.

In some games he would shine, and others he would disappear. I think he will take a big step in his third season and won’t have those games when he disappears. He will be a weapon on the field at all times, and with Detroit lack of weapons at wide receiver I only see them utilizing him more.

Now the real question and the big question is can Detroit ever get over this losing hump?

Bringing in a quarterback who has played in a Super Bowl is a good step and I see Goff having a solid season. Don’t expect anything huge but if he can be a game manager and put the ball in the hands of his running backs and star TE, other teams will have a problem.

Speaking of Jared Goff, click here to check his GF out. She’s hot.
