When people hear the line “the young, talented Guardians of Cleveland”, they probably think it’s a rebuild year, with a rebuild team, but they’d be dead wrong. This year’s Cleveland Guardians are from being a “rebuild team”!
Last night, against the Minnesota Twins, the Guardians went up 3-0, when Josh Naylor smashed a 3-run home run in the third inning. When the Guardians take the early lead, they almost always end up winning the ball game. Then, the Twins answered by scoring 5 unanswered runs to go up 5-3. This is also a usual occurrence, but when this happens, the Guardians almost always come back to win.

Down 5-3 in the 8th inning, recently recalled from AAA-Columbus, Franmil Reyes, smashed a 2-run home run to center filed. This tied the game at 5-5. That home run was Reyes’ first, since coming back from the IL, and returning from a short rehab stint at AAA-Columbus.
In the top of of the 11th inning, Andres Gimenez hit a line drive single to center field that scored Oscar Gonzalez, which put the Guardians up 6-5. The Guardians with another come back win and they are now 16-4 in their last 20 games! This young, talented Guardians team CAN’T BE STOPPED!!
