Written by Tony Ghaul

The Philadelphia Phillies continue to bash the baseball in the month of August in last night’s 6-4 victory over the Los Angeles Angels.

Trea Turner hit two home runs and drove in three runs and Bryce Harper blasted a home run and knocked in two runs to lead the Phillies to their fourth straight win.

Brandon Marsh added two hits and an RBI for the Phillies offense. Taijuan Walker tossed 5 2/3 innings allowing eight hits and three runs with six strikeouts and two walks to earn his 14th win of the season.

Phillies closer Craig Kimbrel threw a scoreless ninth inning for his 21st save in 23 chances.

Angels star Shohei Ohtani was 1 for 4 and former Phillies outfielder Mickey Moniak went 3 for 4 with a RBI.

The Phillies are now 15 games over .500 at 73-58 on the season and continue to lead in the National League wild card standings.
