The NBA Rookie Of The Year Debate Is Over. Cade Cunningham Is The Only Correct Choice And Sportsbooks Are Still Sleeping On Him

The NBA’s Rookie Of The Year debate is always a heated topic. Remember when Ben Simmons won rookie of the year and wasn’t even a damn rookie? What a joke that was. But this year? Evan Mobley, a solid player with great potential to be a future All-Star for the Cleveland Cavaliers is currently favored by all sportsbooks to take Rookie Of The Year honors at -340. Scottie Barnes is listed second at +280 who has also shown flashes of greatness. But why is Cade Cunningham behind both players at third on the sportsbooks listed as high as +1500?!

Cade Cunningham current odds to win ROY:

  • Draftkings: +700
  • Fanduel: +1200
  • PointsBet: +1500

Don’t get me wrong, Mobley is a stud and the Cavs are on their way to being a strong team in the East for years to come.

But…… if you watch the two play… Cade is by far the better player. And it’s not even close. This dude is going to be a superstar. An assassin. Watching the rook play I can honestly say that “DEEEEETROOOOITTT BASKETBALL” is about to be back, and real soon.

Mobley’s putting up a nice 14.9 ppg and 8.3 reb on a Cleveland Cavs squad that is gonna make the playoffs, and is great on the defensive end. But let’s look at Cade’s stats… who is on sportsbooks listed anywhere from +700 to +1500, which is absolutely mind blowing.

He had a pretty solid night last night too, while missing the entire 2nd quarter with a tailbone bruise.

I hate when people say to “HAMMER” a bet or make videos of themselves rubbing their hands together to it, but this might call for some carpentry tools and rubbing palms. Cade deserves ROY and at those odds why not throw some change at it? He’s the ROY. The future is bright in the Motor City.
