The Jets have added to their struggling offensive line by claiming guard Nate Herbig off waivers from the Eagles, who released him officially on Wednesday, May 4th.

With an extremely successful 2022 NFL draft and adding fourth rounder OL Max Mitchell, the New York Jets are looking at a much more promising season than just a year ago. Herbig, 23, was signed by the Eagles after going undrafted in 2019. Nate started five games and appeared in five other games at guard for the Eagles in 2021 after the team endured a plague of injuries along the offensive line. He is only 23 years old and has starting experience under his belt.

On March 15, 2022, the Eagles placed a restricted free agent tender on Herbig. After signing the tender, he was waived by the team on May 4, 2022.
