According to ESPN Reporter Adam Schefter, the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers have not been communicating much regarding the Aaron Rodgers trade over the past week.
Schefter added that the Packers are looking for a first-round pick and more in exchange for the superstar QB.
The Jets trade of WR Elijah Moore to the Cleveland Browns and the signing of former Kansas City Chiefs WR Mecole Hardman in free agency has little to do with their potential pursuit of Rodgers, as per Schefter.
It will be interesting to see whether the Jets will be willing to meet the Packers asking price for Rodgers. However, with the QB expressing interest in playing in New York, it is clear that there is some potential for a deal to be made.
