The Guardians look to win 2-out-of-3 against the Dodgers

On Friday, the Cleveland Guardians came into Dodgers stadium and took Game 1 against the Dodgers, 2-1. Last night, and without Jose Ramirez, the Guardians fell to the Dodgers, 7-1. Today, they have a chance to take the series from the Dodgers, as long as Shane Bieber pitches his best!

The Guardians star third baseman, Jose Ramirez, sat out on Saturday with thumb soreness. Not a major injury, but it did have an affect on Saturday’s outcome. When he is in the lineup, he gives the Guardians a spark to play the best they can. When he’s not in the lineup, well, we all see what happens. It’s not that the other Guardians players can’t get it done, it’s just he is such a vital part of this young, talented team.

Guardians ace pitcher, Shane Bieber, gets the start today. He is looking to improve his record to 4-3 this season, so far. His ERA is sitting at 3.01. He will need to pitch one of the best games that he’s ever pitched, because the Dodgers are not going to just lay down and give the series to the Guardians.

The rest of the Guardians will need to step it up today, even if Ramirez sits again today. Strong pitching will not be enough to take this series from the Dodgers. The game is set for a 4:10pm start. Taking this series is very vital, because the Guardians are only 2 games back from the Twins, which they travel to play next. The Guardians will need to have a winning momentum, so they can go to Minnesota, take the series, and come out on top of the A.L. Central.
