The Green Bay Packers have released veteran backup QB Kurt Benkert.

The Green Bay Packers have released 26 year old QB Kurt Benkert, according to multiple reports. He played college football at East Carolina and then at Virginia. He was signed by the Falcons in 2018 as an undrafted free agent.

Benkert spent three seasons with the Falcons before being signed by the Packers in 2021, only to be waived and signed to the practice squad.
