The New York Giants have signed tight end Jordan Akins to one year deal, according to Pro Football Network’s insider Aaron Wilson. Akins, 30, entered the league in 2018 at the age of 26. He was a standout high school and college athlete and was drafted by the Texans Rangers in the third round of the 2010 MLB draft, but chose to stick to football.
After being drafted by the Houston Texans in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft, Akins played out his rookie contract with the team and recorded 114 catches for 1,260 yards receiving and three touchdowns. He now moves on to New York.
