The Atlanta Falcons have signed former Packers and Lions receiver Geronimo Allison. Allison, 28, played college football at Illinois, and was signed by the Green Bay Packers in 2016 as an undrafted free agent. After four seasons with the Packers, he joined the Lions in 2020.
There was a point in time where Allison was forced to be the man in step up in Green Bay, and while he built a solid connection with Aaron Rodgers, it wasn’t enough for the team to re-sign him in free agency. He signed a one year deal with the Lions and was later released, only to be promoted to the active roster. He spent a while going back-and-forth from the active roster and the practice squad.
In his career Geronimo Allison has started 15 games out of a possible 49 played, tallying 89 catches for 1,045 yards and six touchdowns.
