Welcome back to another season of The Curse of Oak Island. As always I’ll be back to previewing every episode along with once in awhile recapping episodes.

Tonight is the start of season 8. Eight seasons already but nothing is as hyped as this season.

The World is in a Pandemic and the Oak Island crew is ready to dig.

“In the midst of a worldwide pandemic, Rick, Marty and the team return to Oak Island. Armed with evidence of possible tunnels leading to the Money Pit, the fellowship is convinced they have the tools to solve the Oak Island mystery once and for all.”

In the preview, Oak Island researcher Doug Crowell discusses two historic surveys previously carried out by two treasure-hunters on the island, Fred Nolan and Dan Blankenship, which were never followed up.

This is despite the fact that the two surveys indicated underground tunnels, including one that leads to the Money Pit. One survey also shows that there are four possible targets of buried non-ferrous metals, which as the team’s metal-detecting expert Gary Drayton points out, could just be gold. But Gary earlier thought he had found silver, so it’s hard to say.

The episode synopsis reads as, “In the midst of a worldwide pandemic, Rick, Marty and the team return to Oak Island. Armed with evidence of possible tunnels leading to the Money Pit, the fellowship is convinced they have the tools to solve the Oak Island mystery once and for all.”

Episode one airs November 10th at 9 PM EST.
