These day, all we here about is Dak Prescott and Zeke Elliot. But, did you know that the Cowboys have one of the best overall Tight Ends in the NFL?

Dalton Schultz, the Dallas Cowboys starting Tight End, made it to mandatory Mini-Camp, ESPN sources confirmed. Schultz is in the process of getting a new contract, however, the Cowboys put the Franchise Tag on him, until he gets that new contract. The logistics of his Franchise Tag are that he will make $10.9 million on the tag, unless the Cowboys and Schultz reach a new contract agreement by July 15th. If a new contract is not done by July 15th, Schultz will play the entire 2022 season on the tag’s salary.
Over the past two seasons, Schultz has caught 141 passes, including 78 for 808 yards and eight touchdowns last season. He joined Jason Witten as the only tight end in franchise history with at least 75 catches, 800 yards and eight touchdowns in a season. Needless to say, Schultz is a big part of the Cowboys’ offense. You can expect to see Schultz get a lot more targets, since the Cowboys sent Cooper to Cleveland.

As far as Schultz in Fantasy Football, he is a great pick, because he will get you reception, yards and touchdowns. I had him last year and he did really well. I just hope that the Cowboys get him a new contract by next off-season, because if they are looking to win another Super Bowl, they are going to need his help to do so.
