In case you haven’t heard, the most miraculous gambling victory of my lifetime went down this weekend, and it’s finally been paid out. A FanDuel bettor hit a two-team, exact score parlay on the NFL Conference championships this weekend, which netted him a $579,000 payout on just a $20 bet.
The best part of it all is that he placed the bet using site credit, he literally had nothing to lose! If you’re FanDuel, you really gotta consider slowing down on the site credit offers after this, right? I’m no businessman, but I feel like you should take a pretty critical look at any practice that results in you giving half a million dollars to some asshole who happened to hit the craziest bet of all-time.
On second thought, there’s actually no way in hell FanDuel regrets anything. This could be the best thing that’s ever happened to them.
