The Can Am Maverick Accessories is an all-weather recreation vehicle that offers off-road and on-road capabilities. It’s perfect for fishing, hunting, and battling the dunes. The Maverick has four models to choose from: the base model, two limited editions, and a Red Edition. What makes this vehicle stand out is its features, like being able to tow 2200 pounds worth of gear without sacrificing ground clearance.

Unsurprisingly, it also has various accessories available to enhance your vehicle’s performance and comfort just as you want it. This article will introduce you to some of our favorite Maverick accessories that we recommend checking out if you’re looking for something new.

  1. Snorkel

Snorkels help prevent water from entering the engine bay while driving in deep water or fording streams. Two snorkel kits are compatible with the Maverick: a 3-inch and a 4-inch kit. The larger 4-inch snorkel kit comes with all the necessary hardware.

In contrast, the 3-inch kit has an adapter that you have to purchase separately, a different internal filter design, and uses a rubber hose instead of metal clamps. You can also use these kits to improve your safety if you’re planning on driving through rapids. In addition, you’ll have more of your view above the waterline with the snorkel.

  1. Trim and Doors

The Maverick doors are a little flimsy and may not be able to withstand the rigors of off-road driving. However, you can upgrade your doors with aluminum ones made by Hepacoat and have a swing-out design for cargo access.

You can also add a trim piece that attaches to your door pockets and some interior door handles and armrest covers. The interior will look less dated, while the trim will give you easy access to your gear without being obstructed by your doors.

  1. Powder Coated Wheels

Adding some new wheels will give your Maverick a fresh, stealth look. The advantages of powder-coated wheels are that they are stronger than factory chrome or painted options and come in various colors to match your rig. You can get a set of four from Can-Am for approximately $1000, depending on the size you select. The styling is modern and aggressive, perfect for the Maverick’s off-road capability.

  1. Side Doors and Window Tinting

If you’re planning on doing lots of trail riding or spending time in deep water, installing side doors will make it easier to get into/out of your Maverick without drowning yourself.

You can choose from various doors and even have them tinted to match the rest of your windows. If you want to install optional soft-top headlights, then side doors will be a must. The only problem with side doors is that they no longer fit in the factory tracks, so you’ll need custom door track extenders.

  1. Stereo and Speakers

The stock stereo system in the Maverick is unimpressive at best, but with an easy installation of an aftermarket receiver and speakers, your tunes will sound fantastic. There are several excellent options for donning new speakers–Infinity and Kicker are two reputable choices.

  1. Tow Hitch

Most people don’t need a tow hitch, but if you have a few extra thousand dollars burning a hole in your pocket, then a can-am tow hitch is the way to go. Taking your rig into deep water and off-road will make it even easier. Another option is the Can-Am 300 Mile Tow Hitch Package which will include the tow hitch, brakes, and lights along with maintenance and documentation. With this package, you’ll get twice as much equipment for half of what you’d pay for each component separately. Of course, you have to decide if paying for half of it is worth it for you or not.

The Bottom Line

Adding these accessories will make your Maverick stand out and make it easier to customize to meet your needs. But, of course, it all depends on your budget and the kind of mods you want to tackle, so consider what you want to do with your rig, then decide which accessories are right for you. Remember that these additions aren’t cheap, but they are worth the investment if you plan to do some severe off-roading or spend lots of time in deep water. It will not only considerably improve the state of your UTV but also let you breathe with ease that everything is done by the books. Also, remember that each accessory will increase vehicle weight and affect performance at higher speeds or on longer trips.
