Tennessee fans tear down goalposts after upset win over Alabama

The goalposts in Neyland Stadium on Saturday are now a part of Tennessee football lore.

The posts fell minutes after the Volunteers 52-49 win over Alabama, the first over the Tide since 2006. Tennessee fans stormed the field immediately after Chase McGrath’s 40-yard field goal wobbled over the crossbar as time expired.

SEC fine is on the way for Tennessee as the Vols not only stormed the field to celebrate the 52-49 win over Alabama on Saturday on a last-second field goal, but the fans also dismantled the goal posts and paraded them around the field.
