For those of you that were wondering when the next big Super Smash Bros. Ultimate update would be coming for Nintendo Switch, well, it’s not too far off.
Today, Nintendo confirmed that a video presentation for the hit fighting game is set to take place on July 30, which will showcase the next DLC combatant, the Fighter from Dragon Quest XI, for the series. The video will debut at 6 AM PDT, and will run about 22 minutes. Director Masahiro Sakurai will be front and center for the video, featuring the character in action. Here’s a tweet showing off the official announcement:

More than likely, we’ll probably see the Fighter show up in the game in the next week. The reason for this is because a new update for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is primed and ready to go over the next week as well!
Nintendo gave a briefing of what this update will entail once it goes live over the next week:
“This update will include fighter adjustments, meaning replay data from previous versions will be incompatible. Convert your replays by going to Vault -> Replays -> Replay Data -> Convert to Video, before updating.”
No exact date was given, but, again, it’s not too far off.
Hopefully we’ll also get word on when we can expect Banjo Kazooie to arrive within the game as well. Thus far, we only know that they’re coming sometime in the fall…
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now for Nintendo Switch.
