Super Bowl 57 is going to be a powerhouse match up between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. Both teams were the No. 1 seed in their conference playoffs.
The Chiefs and Eagles had very different paths through the postseason. The Eagles had dominant victories over the Giants and 49ers, while Chiefs beat the Jaguars and Bengals by a combined 10 points.
I predict that the Eagles win, and I don’t think it’s going to be close. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is a great player and he can do many amazing things.
The Philadelphia Eagles may have the most dominant offensive and defensive lines the NFL has seen in a long time. They’ve been historically good this year, going up against some premier defenses and pass rushers, and they’ve owned them all. They should dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.
I think that the Eagles lock up the Chiefs best weapon TE Travis Kelce. The Eagles secondary is very strong. They may try to match up CB James Bradberry on Kelce at certain times.
The Eagles will look to have QB Jalen Hurts will throw the ball a lot early to get ahead and run it late to put the game away. Once the Eagles get a lead, they like impose their will on opposing defenses.
The Eagles pass rush led by Haason Reddick will get to Mahomes. They will pressure him often and make him feel uncomfortable.
The Eagles are the more complete team. They have more weapons on offense and their defensive line depth will wear down the Chiefs offensive line.
After this one is over, the 2022 Eagles will be looked at as one of the best teams in NFL history. Eagles 34, Chiefs 20.
