Pittsburgh Steelers WR George Pickens was frustrated, upset and loafing during last night’s 21-18 loss to the New England Patriots.
Pickens appeared to be moping and looking frustrated on the on the bench. On the field, he was loafing and looking disinterested.
During last night’s broadcast on Prime Video, Kirk Herbstreit, who was on the call with Al Michaels, said it was a “bad look” when Pickens appeared to give no effort on a run.
“He’s kind of taking the play off,” Herbstreit said. “I think it sends a message to me, to your team. I look at receivers when it comes to their willingness to block and the effort that they’re willing to put forth.
Pickens had five catches for just 19 yards last night. For the season, he’s caught 49 passes for 767 yards and has three touchdowns.
The Steelers have had their problems on offense this season. The offensive coordinator has recently been fired and their starting QB is injured. Pickens has to be better than this. It’s a bad look.
