Pittsburgh Steelers QB Kenny Pickett had his SUV stolen this week while the team’s playbook was in the backseat.
Pickett was making an appearance for a radio interview at a car dealership near Pittsburgh on Wednesday and left his 2023 Genesis in the parking lot, where it was stolen, as per WTAE’s Marcie Cipriani.
The police were able to recover the vehicle and the playbook. The thief left his own vehicle at the dealership, so cops were able to retrieve Pickett’s Genesis a mere 30 minutes later as they ran the plates of the vehicle left in the lot.
The thief was arrested after the stolen vehicle was found at his house. The 60-year-old Christopher Carter in connection to the theft.
Carter was charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. Both acts are considered felonies in Pennsylvania. Carter also faces misdemeanor unauthorized use of an automobile.
