South Jersey Football Star Kwinten Ives Receives Offer From Nebraska

Written by Tony Ghaul

Palmyra (N.J.) High School athlete Kwinten Ives received an offer from Nebraska on Tuesday night. A hybrid running back/wide receiver, the 6-foot-3, 180-pounder, previously had offers from Stony Brook, Temple and UConn.

New Nebraska Head Coach Matt Rhule hired running backs coach E.J. Barthel away from UConn. The Huskies were very high Ives, who rushed for 1,617 yards and had 250 receiving yards for Palmyra in his senior season. They were very active in recruiting him. Barthel clearly values him. This is a good opportunity for Ives, to play for a big time Division 1 football program and a very accomplished Head Coach in Matt Rhule. Ives possesses the size, power and speed to succeed at Nebraska.

Ives finished his career with 3,176 rushing yards and 45 touchdowns. He added 465 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns.
