Spencer Rattler was expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft ahead of the 2021 college football season, which saw him fall from grace as he was unable to even hang on to the starting QB position with the Oklahoma Sooners.
Rattler decided to transfer and join Head Coach Shane Beamer with the South Carolina Gamecocks. There have been plenty of ups and downs and there have been some major highlights. Saturday’s 63-38 win over the Tennessee Volunteers was the biggest.
Rattler completed 30-of-37 passes for 438 yards with 6 touchdowns without any interceptions. On deep throws, Rattler completed 9 of 14 passes for 242 yards with 2 touchdowns.
Rattler has completed 66.9% of his passes for 2,420 yards with 14 touchdowns and 9 interceptions.
South Carolina ends the regular season with a matchup against the No. 9-ranked Clemson Tigers on Saturday, Nov. 26.
