Boston Red Sox

So Close, Yet So Far

Written by Connor McLoughlin

The Red Sox are 3-1 in the World Series and after game 3 Friday night, thank God it wasn’t an 8 HOUR GAME, it was half that tonight (lasted till 3am for that, but pretty cool that it was the longest post season game ever)!

The big players in game 4 tonight have to be Mitchy Moreland, who closed the 4-0 gap on the Sox with a 3-run home run in the top of the 7th. I was getting worried like I did in game 3, but I knew the Sox had the momentum now to keep going, which leads to the next big player, Steven Pearce.

STEVIE PEARCE ties the game in the top of the 8th with a homer and then even doubles the score with a 3-run-double. This is amazing, coming back from 4-0 is quite an accomplishment and then to be 1 game away from a World Series championship is gonna be something (fun fact, I’ve never been to a championship parade, so let’s hope I didn’t jinx this).

Brock Holt then takes the lead with the help of Devers. Honestly, if Devers isn’t trading or leaves the Sox, he’s gonna have to lose some lbs’ because the boy is HUGE and he could improve his game immensely if he gets in shape.

So here we are, 1 game away! Let’s make it happen and Do some Damage 👊🏼👊🏼
