Free agent LB Shaq Leonard is expected to visit the Philadelphia Eagles tomorrow, as per John Clark NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Leonard visited the Dallas Cowboys today. He plans on weighing options and visiting other teams, as per Jeremy Fowler ESPN.

The Eagles have a need at the linebacker position due to injuries. Zach Cunningham suffered a hamstring injury in the win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Cunningham’s status for Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers is unknown, as is the severity of the hamstring injury.

Nakobe Dean is on injured reserve with a Lisfranc injury and he is probably out for the rest of the season.

Leonard was released by the Indianapolis Colts last week. He was named 1st-team All-Pro after the 2018, 2020 and 2021 seasons and 2nd-team All-Pro after 2019. Leonard made Pro Bowls after the 2019, 2020 and 2021 seasons.

Leonard is not the player that he once was, but is still a very effective player and could be a upgrade at the LB position.
