Shad Gaspard Missing In Swimming Incident

Written by Shannon Walsh

A search is underway in California for pro wrestler Shad Gaspard after he submerged underwater on 5/17/20 while swimming at Venice Beach with his son. Lifeguards immediately ran into the water to make the rescue, but Gaspard wanted to make sure his son was recused first. Another wave ended up crashing into Gaspard during the rescue efforts and that was the last time he was seen.

Gaspard is half of the tag team Crime Time with JTG. The two were paired together in OVW in 2006 and they won the OVW Southern Tag Team Titles twice. They made their debut in WWE the same year as Cryme Tyme.

When Gaspard was released from WWE in 2010, he worked in Japan for a little while then went into acting and stunt work. He appeared in “Get Hard” and “The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time”.

He and JTG reunited on the pro wrestling indie scene over the last few years as Crime Time. They were part of WrestleCade back in November in a loss to The Dawsons. They are currently the tag team champions for VIP Wrestling based in Texas, winning the vacant titles on 7/5/2019 over Homicide and Hernandez, Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Teddy Hart, Warren J. and Zack Mason.
