Multiple Houston Texan and Dallas Cowboy players have reportedly tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
That’s bad news.
The good news is, none of the players are suspected to be critically ill. Ezekiel Elliot of the Cowboys is one of the players that has tested positive and his agent told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, that the star running back is “feeling good”.
My honest, possibly hot take, opinion: The NFL is going to proceed as scheduled. With all of the other sports leagues postponed, or possibly cancelled, the NFL will do everything in its infinite power to continue to play as scheduled. They will not botch this process the way that the MLB and NBA have to this point.
While we are all still obviously learning new information about this virus daily, there should be no reason the league shouldn’t be able to proceed with their season, with or without fans.
