Seattle Seahawks re-signing QB Geno Smith to a 1 year deal.

A source confirmed to me on the phone that Geno Smith is returning to Seattle on a 1 year deal, first reported by NFL Insider Jordan Schultz. Smith played college football at West Virginia and was drafted by the New York Jets in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

With the Seahawks, Smith, 31, has spent the last two seasons in Seattle and has passed for 735 yards, with five touchdowns and one interception. He has been a solid backup there, but is now going to be pushing newly acquired QB Drew Lock to perform at his best.
