The Seattle Seahawks and quarterback Geno Smith have agreed to a new multi-year contract, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

The two sides agreed to a three-year, $105 million contract, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport.

The 32-year-old Smith was going to become a free agent on March 15. He had his best NFL season in 2022.

Smith threw for 4,282 yards with 30 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He completed 69.8 percent of his passes and led the Seahawks to a 9-8 record.

Before the 2022 season, Smith had been a journeyman backup. He played for the Jets, Giants and Chargers, before joining the Seahawks in 2019.
