Los Angeles Clippers NBA Phoenix Suns

Scals Selections: WCF GM 2

After a Monday that featured no NBA playoff games, we are back. Western Conference Finals game 2, Clippers at Suns. Game 1 gave us a back and forth battle that showed yet another impressive performance by Devin Booker. The Suns squeaked out a 6 point win, but more importantly, they covered the 4 point spread. Good teams win, but great teams cover.

Tonight, we see the Suns as a 5 point favorite. With CP3 out again, Booker will once again have to step up and play great for the Suns to cover. I fully expect him to. I like the Suns here laying the 5.

We saw the Suns get off to a slow start in game 1, likely due to the time they had off after sweeping the Nuggets, and having the Clippers Jazz go 7 games. The Suns get off to a fast start tonight, and don’t look back.

I see value on the Suns 1st Q -1 1/2 as well as 1st half -2 1/2. The over at 222 also holds some value in my mind, as I expect the Suns to shoot a little better.

If you’re looking for a player prop, Jae Crowder over 11 1/2 points. Jae is a guy I love. He missed some open looks early game 1, and I again attributed this to the lay off between games. With this said, Crowder had an easy 13 points in game 1.

But my official play here is Suns -5. Positive vibes only.
