Written by TrevStone

The Detroit Lions drafted punter Sam Martin in 2013 and his boot of a leg found a home in Detroit for 7 years! Martin signed with the Denver Broncos recently and he decided he would leave the Lions franchise with class!

He shared a long message on Twitter thanking everyone:

I’d like to also say thank you to Sam! As you probably know I am a longtime Detroit Lions fan, Sam has been nothing but classy and entertaining during his time in Detroit… That’s on top of his boot of a LEG! He can do it all land punts, do kickoffs… Sam will find an awesome home in Denver.
