An incredible rumor as my sources in the WWE are telling me that the WWE is demanding its Superstars donate their organs to the WWE rather than their state organ banks. This follows a recent story that the WWE is forcing its Superstars to either give up their money-making accounts like Cameo and Twitch or assign them to the WWE where the company will receive the income and allocate a portion to the wrestlers.

As you may know, individuals in the United States typically notify their state of residency about their wish to donate their organs after death. According to the site Health Resources and Services Administration, the process is simple:

You can sign up online or in-person at your local motor vehicle department. Registering online takes just a few minutes. All you need is some identification information and your driver’s license or photo ID number.

It’s also recommended that you notify your family members and other loved ones about your final wishes in order for things to go smoothly. Organ donations can make a huge difference in the lives of multiple individuals. While there are a number of myths about organ donation, they’re just that-myths.

According to the rumor, the WWE is telling its Superstars that their organs are only valuable due to the WWE establishing them as wrestling stars, thus their organs should be distributed by the WWE rather than organ banks. No official word on when (or if) this policy will go into effect but when I asked a source in the WWE whether the Superstars would receive some compensation or acknowledgement for their donation, I was told “What will they care? They’ll be dead.”

If this story turns out to be true, it will be the latest acquiescence by WWE Superstars who are treated as employees, but classified as independent contractors with nothing to show for the concessions they make. My source in the WWE told me that there will be one body part missing from those who give in to the WWE’s latest demand- a backbone. It’s unknown if any current Superstar still has one.
