In the fourth fight of the night we have a battle of New Jersey prospects as Christian Mcauley takes on Calogero Torretta.

Round 1

Both men got busy early, and Mcauey immediately pushed the pace throwing a few hard one, twos. After the initial chaos, the men settled in and Mcauley shot in on a double that he was unable to complete. Back on the feet, Torretta shot in deep on a single and then transitioned to a tight grip around the waist of Mcauley. Torretta was unable to secure a takedown, and Mcauley briefly reversed the position before they broke and returned to the feet. Torretta threw a right high kick, slipped, and allowed Mcauley to pin him down in a sprawl position briefly, but found his way back to the feet. The round ended with both men trading leg kicks in what was fast-paced, back-and-forth round.

Round 2

Early in the second Torretta was able to land a hard leck kick following a missed flurry of punches from Mcauley. They clinched in the center of the cage, and Torretta landed a beautiful hip toss that put him in side control. Unable to control the position, Torretta ultimately lost top control, and subsequently surrendered a double leg to Mcauley. Mcauley briefly had mounted, but Torretta escaped to his feet, before surrendering another takedown to Mcauley. Torretta scrambled to the fence and attempted to work his way back up, but he ate some hard knees to the legs, head, and body during his attempt. He eventually broke free of the position, and back in the striking exchanges, Torretta came out with tons of aggression, marching Mcauley down the cage and loading up on punches. He got too aggressive and got caught with a nice level change by Mcauley, and Mcauley briefly worked his way to the back of Torretta before the round ended with Torretta pressing Mcauley against the fence.

Round 3

The men hugged to start the third round, and it was not long before Mcauley changed levels, landed a takedown, and worked his way to the back of Torretta. Mcauley was once again unable to do anything with this position, and Torretta scrambled back to the feet briefly, before again finding himself pushed up against the cage by Mcauley. After breaking the clinch, Mcauley started pushing the pace on offense, landing a hard left to the body, and even attempting a question mark kick. Then, it was Torretta initiating the grappling exchanges, going to work on a single against the fence that was ultimately unsuccessful. In his attempt, he failed to protect his neck, allowing Mcauley to secure an anaconda and submit him in the third round.
