In a tweet by employee Riggs, Barstool Sports on Twitter has confirmed their date with the NCAA for the LTP (Let Them Play) Classic college golf tournament at the Whirlwind Golf Club near Chandler, Arizona (south of Phoenix).

Such school teams and individuals that are competing in this Classic including athletes from Oregon State, Houston, Purdue, Mississippi State, North Texas and University of Miami-Florida.

Set for Thursday, May 20th and Friday, May 21st, Riggs said that the tournament is offering no golf fees and the aforementioned Whirlwind Golf Club is stepping in and hosting the event free of charge. They will also be crowning individual and team championships after those two days of competition.

Just have to give out major props for Riggs and Barstool to work with NCAA and those schools who chose to participate in this event and give those golfers a chance after being left out in another tournament.

Some groups in the states have done numerous rallies and plans to have high school athletes compete in sports and tournaments, but to have one man orchestrate it altogether for a women’s college golf invite is great success.

Kudos to you, Riggs!
